ESCAPE

PEST-BUDA IS HOME AWAY FROM HOME

"Life on the Buda side of the Danube can feel like coming unstuck in time. You have some elevation in these parts, which means extraordinary views of the river, the fabulously ornate Matthias Church, and the painstakingly reconstructed Buda Castle complex, plus plenty of wooded hiking trails on the way up.

Pest-Buda is home to some of the world’s finest small hotels. And by small, we really do mean small with just ten rooms, is probably more house than hotel, and it’s the perfect way to live like a local in the Hungarian capital’s charming and stylish Buda Castle historical district." /TABLET Hotels/

PASSION

Gastronomy and hospitality are not only our profession but it is our passion!

The Zsidai Family

GRAND BUDAPEST

Castle District
Gothic spires, baroque domes and madival structures abound on the Danube's west bank.

Chain Bridge
Buda and Pest were first linked thanks to an Englishman, William Tierney Clark, and a Scot Adam Clark.

Parliament
Neo-Gothic palace on the Danube designed by Imre Steindl, inaugurated in 1896 for Hungary's 1000th anniversary with its 691 rooms lead off a maze of courtyards, incorporating Baroque and Renaissance elements.

STYLE

The rooms' walls are decorated with Hungarian contemporary artworks, rustic oak tree walls, and oak tree flooring made by local artisans. In the hotel rooms, local limestone was used to build the handmade Hans Grohe-type tropical shower.
On the top floor, 2 atelier suits take place, with a glass wall from top to bottom, an exposed tub, a huge walk-in shower and the original baroque roofing.
